I do not believe so and that the gen8 only accepts ECC ram which this is not unfortunately.
I could be totally wrong of course and perhaps HP have released a firmware that allows desktop non ecc ram to be used? I only have the N54L (previous gen) which accepts either but not the Gen8

Then add on $12.29 for delivery and this is still $9 cheaper if getting it delivered or $7 cheaper if pick up.
