Fitbit Flex $79 (Usually $99) @ David Jones and Dick Smith

50

Fitbit Flex, all colours for $79 at David Jones and Dick Smith. I have been watching new and second hand Fitbit Flexes on eBay and usually they sell for $70-$90 with postage, sometimes more. So, this is a good price for a new unit from a brick and mortar store.
Dick Smith was selling it for $99 yesterday.

Waste of money imo. Just a glorified pedometer and it doesn't do anything fancy like it's been marketed as doing.
This device has serious illusions of grandeur. No. You're just a pedometer with a wifi module. STFU lol

    • This slim, stylish device is with you all the time. During the day, it tracks steps, distance, and calories burned. At night, it tracks your sleep quality and wakes you silently in the morning. Just check out the lights to see how you stack up against your personal goal. It’s the motivation you need to get out and be more active.

It does that stuff, which I copy and pasted from their website ( http://www.fitbit.com/au/flex ). So… it does what it says.

  • I have one of these and a Pebble.

Food for thought: Get a Pebble instead! Does everything that this Fitbit does, and a lot more.

    • Pebble does not track sleep.

      • Yes it does.
        Misfit tracks steps and sleep.

        • REally. I have a friend who has Pebble and I was going to get one until he told me it doesnt track sleep, so I never did, and bought Fitbit instead.

[edit] Just did a bit of my own checking. I was right. Pebble doesnt do very much at all, natively. Glad I didnt bother.

        • @kyteflyer:
I'm looking at a 7-day graph on my Pebble now, showing me sleep hours per day for the last week.

Enjoy your Fitbit; it is OK as well!
