what annual fee do you pay on it?
usually its $220 but it can be lowered to your previous annual fee.
I had Qantas platinum before and was charged $160 in February so I called them to request refund because I thought I would get charged $220 but they told me that the fee I paid in Feb will cover my World card until next year Feb and if I spend enough (didn't say how much) I might be eligible to keep $160.
I guess it probably depends how much money they make from merchants on your spending…

May I understand what you needed to do to get the invite for this ? I have been a Plat card holder for a couple of months and would love to know what I need to do to get invited.
I'm not really sure but try to give them a call, if your limit is above $15000 maybe they will allow you to upgrade if it's bellow ask them to increase it, they usually put you on someone from sales team and these ppl are more flexible than ppl inside call centr
