Recommendations for a good water filter? (Reverse osmosis)

Looking for a good quality bpa free water filter/purifier. Not sure if I want an under sink or counter top as we are renting but definitely looking for recommendations and willing to get one installed and uninstalled before we leave if the product is really good. (Located outer western subs of Melton and have noticed a really strong smell and taste of chlorine in the water since we moved) want to spend under $350 T.I.A

  • We have been using AC filters from Brita for years now. Toyed with the idea of a 5 stage RO system with alkalisers but that idea soon got tossed in the bin when we realised how much waste water was generated.

AC is good for getting rid of Chlorine. We also notice the strong smell straight out of the tap, but once it has gone through the AC it comes good!

  • Thanks will look into that now and Ijust found this what are your thoughts? http://www.phoenixwaterfilter.com.au/gravity-water-filter

  • Hey people :)

I also bought a Fleck 5600SXT Digital House System recently. Its really a good water softener and is equipped with Large LCD display with 48 hours of internal power backup capacitor and has a Backwash capacity up to 12″ diameter for softener applications, 10″ for filter applications.I bought it from http://www.top5watersofteners.com/fleck-5600sxt-digital-hous… got a discount also.If anyone is having hard water issues should definitely try the fleck 5600xt softener. Its result are good.
