VOIP on Android phone for international landline calls

Hi all,

Currently with Telstra Go casual plan, and unfortunately it doesn't have international calls included. Since I got fair bit of data, what VOIP service would you recommend for calling landline numbers from Singapore & Malaysia? I know I could use viber, whatspp, wechat etc to call oversea mobile, but I'm stucked with options to call landline.

What would you recommend for best quality and really well priced "pay as you use" VOIP service to setup on android phone?

Thanks!

    Telecube
Use your phone's VoIP stack or download any VoIP app (I'm using zoiper) and configure as per recommended settings.

Credit does not expire and rates are very competitive. I use this to call Malaysia and Philippines.

    • +1, telecube are pretty good.

  • I use straight Google Hangouts VOIP. very easy to use.

VOIP app works without problems even in 2G networks. 1c/min to Singapore, 2.5c/min to Malaysia.

  • Hangouts has a pay option to ring landlines, or just ring the users phone via hangouts.

Facebook messenger also allows calling person to person, so if you and them are both on facebook, you can use that.

also skype has landline calling options.

  • telecube it is then..their cloudphone app setup on android is pretty good too..
