YouTube App Doesn't Automatically Play Videos in Full Screen

When i rotate my phone playing a YouTube video it automatically goes to full screen. But doesn't do so on my tablet.
Both apps are the latest Youtube app 10.25.57.

Is it just how tablets are? Is there a way i can change it so that it automatically goes to full screen once i start the video and rotate it.

    I dont think it's ever done it on tablet? I have to press the full screen button always.

    However, there appears to be a bug with the youtube app/fullscreen and rotation. It's been causing me problems in the last 2 youtube updates

      I wouldn't have a clue i just got a tablet recently and noticed the difference between my phone

    The tablet YouTube appbdoesnt gobfullscreen like the phone app does. It's a feature as people don't use talets in landscape mode more often so you wouldn't want it to go fullscreen.
