Telstra Plan for iPhone 5C Finishes This Month, Suggestions for a Decent Network to Sign up with?

Must have:
- Reliable Coverage
- Lots of Gigabytes of network data
- A fair price, $80 for my current Telstra 1.5gb a month plan feels expensive.

I'm interested to hear what companies some are you with and what sort of deals they offer for their mobile network.

Plan or Credit, I'm not sure to go with, open to suggestions. Cheers!

  • Telstra has upgraded their BYO plans recently if you are happy with your 5C.

It is now $70 for 2.5GB. How does that sound?

  • I am still happy with my 5C, works fine. That isn't a bad deal for 4G speeds I think, if anyone can top that post your responses.

I'm in a similar position to you - currently paying $92/month for a iPhone 5S 32GB on an $80/month plan with 1.5GB of data and $800 of calls.

Once I come out of contract I will change to Telstra's Freedom prepaid offering (https://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/prepaid-mobiles/off…)

It is much better value than Telstra's post-paid BYO offerings.

If you can handle being limited to 3G then take a look at Boost (a Telstra 3G reseller).

  • If you get decent coverage with either Optus or Vodafone both are offering Sim Only plans for $60 with 8GB.

Both have their own perks, but just make sure to check your coverage where you use your phone with one of the cheap Sim packs available. FYI $30 VF pack is $5 at Coles.

Go with BOOST prepaid - full Telstra network (not the wholesale network) but it is only 3G and not 4G network.

$40 for unlimited calls and sms and 3GB data + 1GB Sunday Data every Sunday.
