Don't expect much noise cancelling performance from these … poor reviews.

    • Only 10dB of noise can be blocked, which is the equivalent of a soft whisper.

You're looking at it from the wrong direction, a 10dB reduction in sound pressure is equivalent to halving the perceived loudness.

        • Thats right, 10dB reduction is closer to a 90% reduction in sound power, but only a perceived 50% reduction of "noise" at the receivers ear. However, a 10dB reduction is more likely an issue with tonality. I would expect a good pair of noice "cancelling" headphones to be active, ie adressing tonality. So a 10dB reduction may be limited to one frequency/octave band, so the overall reduction is not huge but the removal of one "annoying" tonal noise is.

  • I'm looking for some OK over ear headphones to use when working outdoors, mainly radio - don't need to be special, just comfy I guess. Prefer them to be swivel so I can have them around my neck and facing out to use sort of like speakers in certain times. Are these any good? How much more would wireless with good battery life set me back?

  • Didn't the code expire on Sunday night?

    • Code still works. Just bought something less than an hour ago

  • I bought a pair of these for my wife. The construction is very cheap and flimsy, and the sound quality is pretty bright and cheap. $20 is about what they're worth.

  • I got these for $20 from COTD
    Audio-Technica Street DJ SJ11 Heaphones - Black
Waiting for 2nd reward email discount

    • Is that still available?

  • bought some and returned them coz a thought they were faulty the replacement was no better, noise cancelling virtually non existent

  • Cheap junk.

  • DO NOT BUY THESE. As everybody else is saying they are trash. Bought some for my brother and felt terrible when I tested them myself since they sound so bad and can't cancel any noise.

    • $20.

20yrs ago Sony products like headphones/earphones used to be the bomb, now cost cutting and mass production has foreseen obvious quality controls.. wotta shame.
