Which super are you with and why?

I'm currently with REST super by default. Any feedback on it?

    Rest by default.

  • Qsuper -Qld public servant default option.

    • Same, but I think I'll stick with them where ever I go.

Also Rest from when I was stacking shelves over 15 years back - no reason to change

    • no reason to change

Yes there are - fees and returns!

  • Australian Super by default.

Rest. If you're still in retail then chances are your workplace agreement as negotiated by the SDA doesnt give you a choice in your super.

  • Me - Hostplus (by choice), Wife - First State Super (by default), eldest son - Rest (by default).

Hostplus and Rest are pretty good, although Hostplus is probably better. FSS is ordinary to say the least.

ING - low/no fees for smaller balances and the direct shares option seems like a good alternative to a SMSF when the balance grows (I'd be buying low-fee ETFs that match my risk profile - not direct stakes in individual companies). Eventually I'd like a SMSF set up with Vanguard or Interactive Brokers holding the assets, but the yearly maintenance seems a bit prohibitive when you've got under $100k in it.

  • Public Sector Superannuation accumulation plan (PSSap) by default.

  • Rest and State by default. I prefer Rest I think.

  • Was with suncorp by default… did a lot research and comparing and settled with Australian super about 2 yrs ago.. happy with low fees etc

  • With OnePath by ANZ but don't like it. Planing to change it SpectrumSuper from IOOF and Wife works there as well. :)

  • AustralianSuper. Low fees & good historical performance over past 5 years. Also I just started using their "Member Direct" option which allows you to invest directly in what you want with some restrictions (ie: I can invest $5k in BHP).

  • It's 2020, Rest just lost ~5% last year and increasing the fee (I lost $1000+ last year….). I did a bit research and AustralianSuper did really good and still earning 1% last year. I will give them a try.
