Was looking around trying to find some cycling gear that is going to keep me warm(ish) when riding in winter.

Stumbled upon Capo Cycling and found that they're having a sales on some gear, and based on a few reviews, seem to be comparable to Rapha, Assos and Castelli:

Mens Jerseys were up to $150, now $50
Womens Jerseys were up to $189, now $50
Winter jackets & gloves limited sizes of jackets - but you can save up to 50% on these here

  • Why spend more for similar quality when you can get DHB from Wiggle for a lot cheaper?

      not sure…

      why?

    • Seriously? If everyone thought like that 1/2 of the cycling industry would evaporate overnight. ;)

      • Happening now in front of your eyes in a slower pace…

        • Yep, there is plenty of dhb turning up at my regular weekend bunch rides but there is also still plenty of rapha, castelli, assos etc. I've never had Capo before and i love champagne on a beer budget. I'll happily mix cycling kit to wear my new Capo top with the Assos Bibs i bought in the Ribble 20% off sale! Ill be kitted out in the expensive stuff at the low end pricing, every inch the Ozb!!

@2ndeffort: DHB is perfect for commuting in my case 5 days a week. You don't want to worn out your Rapha chamois with commute.
I have a more weekend cafe ride worthy kit from Pearl Izumi and Tineli bib shorts…

I'm not fuss with jersey as long as it fit me and matched my helmets..

Chamois on the other hand is crucial for longer weekend rides.
DHB active bibshorts are perfect for commute under 1 hour..

        • @pitiek: totally agree. I unfortunately don't commute as often as I like but when i do it is in some Sugoi kit (including bibs) I was given by a client (with the client's branding all over them) or sometimes in the kit/jerseys from past charity rides/events (around the bay jersey etc). Like you I keep my Assos bibs and their expensive chamois for the weekend rides or the longer charity rides. The extra $$ on a good chamois is worth it if you are in the saddle for 7 hours or so!

For apparel, you can find good deals from http://www.all4cycling.com/ I got Sportful winter kit from there(very good quality imho)
And you may want to wait for further discount - during grand tours they usually offer 5-15% off (TdF discount has passed a few weeks ago unfortunately)

    • What's the delivery time like with all4cycling.com? I see they have 'Specialised' items which I have not seen on another other website. Thanks for the tip Climber

      • 2-3 weeks, Maloo

  • So this is genuine capo gear? not chinese copy stuff?

    • Convinced it is genuine, bought a couple of tops for next summer, great prices for Capo, thanks OP

Looks legit. Their Facebook pages link off to the same Capo sale's site.

    Capo

Also, what looks like the official Capo .au site looks identical. http://www.capocycling.com.au/

A lot of effort to not be genuine.

  • whats the sizing like?

    • Euro fit normally.

  • Received mine tonight. As expected from Capo, excellent quality, especially for the price (short sleeve jerseys)
