all polishing is small scratches…
Which part of the phone does it scratch? The whole thing is encased in glass.
Samsung has admitted this and has offered customers replacement glass as result of these cases.
yet they're still selling 'em? :/
Got one of these at $22.?? at one of the last sales. Good, but not very protective or easy to grip and no way to prop the phone for media viewing. Upgraded to an Otterbox Defender, when the had these on sale last weekend for around $45. Much better case IMO.
How do you prop that thing up for media viewing?
It comes with a belt holster. The belt clip can lock open to act as a stand. You can pocket the phone with the holster if you prefer.
I see they are on special too. Not as good a deal as last week, but not bad, RRP is $70.

So much for Gorilla glass.
@lostn: Have a look on Youtube, the Gorilla glass is not perfect, even with the Defender. One thing to note, if you use the holster, the phone can attach face inward, and then you are completely protected.
@mostlygordon: Is the gorilla glass as easily scratchable on other phones like iPhone, or just this S6?
My S6 has the smart cover flip case, but dust can still get between the cover and the screen. Should I be worried?
@lostn: From what I read, scratch resistance is good. But I have cracked then screen on a Gorilla glass phone with a flip case before. It's not going to happen with the Defender and phone inward faced to the holster. Pretty unlikely even out of the holster.
@lostn: S6 probably is one of the better ones out there tbh (since it is using the latest one along with Note 4, etc etc). I frankly think you'd be better off just replacing screen protector every time it's scratched up too much.
@AznMitch: But replacing a screen protector is one of the hardest things to do… :/
Those things are dust magnets. I bought a bunch of them for $2 at HN (the genuine Samsung ones which normally sell for $25) but I've wasted at least 3 just to get my first one on. And I have noticed scratches on them already from dust getting caught between the protector and the smart cover. Who'd have though dust could scratch so easily?
@lostn: You'd see people whining about dust scratches on watches that costs few thousand dollars. I personally use a glasses protector one, those are more expensive, but they feel better than the plastic ones.
@AznMitch: You use a tempered glass protector? I don't mind paying for one, the problem is, if I mess up due to dust being uncontrollable, it's a big waste.
@lostn: Those things are around $2~$4 a piece from China (eBay, Aliexpress etc), so I personally don't mind buying them. Hmmm, actually Edge one would be very hard to get and would be more expensive.
Cheap but it scratches the phone…
