CDWOW Non Delivery of Items

Hey guys,

I recently ordered some stuff from CDWOW nearly a month ago and am still waiting on delivery.
The specific items are:

  • Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (PC)
  • Infamous (PS3)
  • Left 4 Dead 2 (PC)

I have contacted them over a dozen times via email which is the only form of contact their website provides. I have also opened a dispute claim on paypal and have escalated the claim but according to paypal it will take another month before the outcome of the claim will be finalised.

Is there anything else I can do to speed up the situation? Has anyone recently ordered similar items from CDWOW and received/not received them? Anyone with bad experiences with CDWOW and how to deal with it?

    I ordered a CD from them back in November, took over three weeks to arrive from the date of dispatch. I was getting quite nervous but waited it out and it turned up from Switzerland of all places. It was never indicated that I was buying an import.

    Maybe if you're lucky the products are coming from some place offshore.

    I'm still waiting for 2 x Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Throat Communicators worth $30 each which were despatched 23 Nov 2009. I have waited up to a month on some items that come from Hong Kong before so I have not made a complaint yet.

    Everything I buy from CDWOW have come from Hong Kong but it usually only takes about 10 days.

    hey if you buy CODMW2 and L4D2 on pc can they be activated on Steam?

      Yes they can.

      Have friends that have UK versions of both games

    I bought about 20 items so far, only 1 got lost, and they refunded to me (only about $6 anyway).
    Nice to deal with and they have 1 free for every 10 items.

    UPDATE: Well over a month now and still no items. Hoping for Paypal to settle this somehow.

    Browsed a few other forums and I think this has been an issue recently due to a change of management. The recent Aus Post strike hasn't really helped either.

    Probably not buying from CDWOW ever again. It's just not worth the hassle.

    Just need to admit that our postal delivery is not reliable. I ordered a book from Angus & Robinson 2 weeks ago, still hasn't come.
