I recently had my 4yo Samsung TV refunded by JB after it developed a row of dead pixels, so now I need to find a replacement.
I've become addicted to streaming Plex to my TV, and am looking for the best value setup to replace this.
It seems like it will be more cost effective to buy a dumb TV and pair it with a Chromecast, but it's a deal breaker for me to have to control it through my phone, so does anyone know of a cheap 32-40+ inch TV that has HDMI CEC.
Side note: I'm in the USA until the 26th, so am open to buying a TV over here and bringing it back, provided it had n Australian compatible voltage and tuner.
wow get refund after 4 years that is so good.
i have lg tv, led 55" bought 3 years ago. it has built in plex client, so what you need is just a plex server to feed the media to the tv.
i installed plex server on my NAS. NAS and TV both connected by cable to router/modem.
you control plex via tv remote
