So I guess you have to get in early!

    • Tried to price match via Office Works, but they seem more strict:
      - Item is not in clearance or equivalent(I'll have to confirm this with Big W as I'm not sure myself)
      - Has to be in stock
      - Price for said item must be correct on the day you price match at OW(so doesn't matter if someone bought it yesterday or a week ago - even if you show them proof - I showed someone's receipt here that it was $1(but it was 3 days ago) but they still refused, must be the day your price match it)
      - OW only price matches in their state only which means if price is different interstate(for example if it's $10 at Big W in NSW and $30 here in WA(at Big W) and your OW store is in WA, you can't price match), you can't price match with your OW in another state.

If all those 4 points above checked, yes they can price match, otherwise no. I have no idea how other people managed to price match Big W(maybe they were still in stock or and they bought it on the same day they bought from Big W or maybe their OW staff is more loose then strict), but this is what I got told.

I'll have to check and ask Big W at Whitfords/Kingsway/Mirrabooka/Karrinyup as they're closest to me and confirm tomorrow if it's still $1 per ream, then I go back to OW at Malaga(which is where I was at today) and tell them this.

      • ok, found out drop zone = clearance which means I won't be able to price match it with OW……not sure how everyone else did it, guess they got lucky and OW wasn't as strict as the one I was at.

  • None at Karingal.

One thing I never understood about Reflex paper is why they advertise "100% Australian Made" - personally, I'd rather mess with forests in other countries than Australia's forests. I'm prepared to pay more for "100% non-Australian Made" paper.

    • +4

Naïve. Whatever trees are going to be harvested for wood pulp are still going to be harvested and chipped. The difference with Australian made, like Reflex, is that the value added conversion costs, including much labour, are conducted in Australia rather than just the chips raw material being exported. Also, if converted here it is done in a more environmentally friendly way versus how it will be done in China, etc. I always go out of my way, and frequently choose to pay extra to buy Australian made papers for exactly these reasons.
