  • I have to say JB is not good at math, the 13 inch mac air 128G = 1169, which is around 16.5% off.

    • +2

It's better than DSE's math, where the prices increase prior to the discounted percentage off.

      • In response to this, an item i been watching for a couple months at jb is on sale today and the price has increased by around 4% so with the "additional 5%" i save like 20c on the regular sale prices

Just went to JB for the buy 2 blu ray tv box sets get one free. Lady said discounts don't stack she entered the 5% off and didn't work. I also thought they didn't give me the 20% off but the prices are more expensive in store

Did you say, "I'm from OzBargain. Try it again"

      • +1

Nope i gave up and went home

        • Same thing happened to me. Pointed out it said "an extra 5% off", so she put it in the system manually and had to write a comment on the system to attach to it, but I did get 25% off Dvd boxsets.

    • strange… there were the discounts online earlier this morning on the B2G1F for the TV shows… and now online they have taken it off.

Bugger that - there's nothing to state that the discounts don't stack !

      • The prices include the discount for the B21F tv series, they are just not showing as reduced online. Eg. All series listed at $19.95 are marked $24.95 etc.
They are scanning correctly (listed price) and with additional 5% in store.

        • Yeah but before i went to JB i checked the website it had all the Blu Ray boxset $19.98 with a red cross through them saying $16.98 not sure if that was a mistake but now they all say $19.98 which is the 20% off $24.98

    • The 20% is already applied online. But if you go into the store, you don't get 20% off the "Buy 2 Get 1 free" deals. I learned that the hard way.

      Source: Personal experience.

      • It isn't i checked the price literally 2 mins before i drove to the shops and the online price for the blu rays with 20% off was $16.98 i got home 1 hour later the $19.98 wasn't crossed out anymore and the price was changed. For example look Star Trek / Star Trek Into Darkness (Limited Phaser Edition) says $115 red crossed out and now says $92 thats how all the blu ray box sets were at $16.98

Price match at office works? 13 inch air comes to $1110!

  • 15% off Mac is the new 10%

  • Good deal. Stacked so discounted price then deduct 5% if you have the coupon. Not a full 25%.
An Extra 5% for the The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki is a good deal. An extra $12.24 saving.

    • That box set is AMAZING! Got in the 50% off blu rays when you buy a blu ray player thing. The Mrs wasn't really excited with the gazillion blu rays that I bought on that deal, though ….

    • yeah, 5% is really 4% when you combine it with other discounts, like the 20% discount on blurays, as the 5% is taken off after the 20% is taken in account. They do actually say it in the terms & conditions "Discount is calculated off the current ticketed or promotional price (whichever is the lesser).". So while I missed out on another 1%, I saved a few more $$ when something in store I bought was priced a few dollars cheaper then the online price, so I'm happy.

  • bloody 1 day deals!

  • Grabbed some nice vinyl @ 25% off - Beatles Mono Masters and Eagles Hotel California.

  • at least JB have IMAC in stock unlike DS which is more like a DH

  • Just got the Nikon Coolpix p900 for $636 at JB hornsby last one they had but will take rainchecks at that price, Awesome fun camera with it's 2000mm Zoom lol

  • Thanks Mr Rort,
