Where to Find A Good Price on A BenQ BL3201PT or a Similar 32" 4k Monitor

I'm recently in the market for a 32" 4k monitor, I've done my research on different models and feel I would be quite happy with the BenQ BL3201PT which seems to be the cheapest at $1,299 according to StaticIce.

I'm not really experienced in sales and don't know if there is much markup, but given the price of the item I imagine there would be. It was available for $1169 during the MSY 10% off monitor weekend a few weeks ago but that may have been sold at a loss.

Are there any ozbargainer tips that could be given for finding this monitor cheaper than MSY's current price of $1,299?

I'm planning on a new PC build once Intel releases the Skylake lineup and would be happy to combine it with a > $1500 build if it means a decent discount but doubt MSY would be willing to negotiate pricing and imagine smaller enthusiast stores would cost more due to order/shipping costs.

I'm located in ACT.

  • Well I don't think a 1.5k build is enough to run any 4k games on decent fps. Unless of course its not for gaming.

EDIT: Also that monitor at msy is $799.

    • Not for gaming ;)

      • Oh. Well then what are you planning on using the 4k monitor for? Movies or something like that? If that so, its cheaper to get a 4k small tv, just because most of the 4k monitors are for gaming. Especially the BenQ one.

        • Software dev mostly. TV's have horrible input lag which doesn't make them great monitors, along with some having colour issues or something, but I'm more concerned about input lag.

      • As clearly stated, the $1,299 price is the lowest I have found.

Nor will a 2560x1440 32" monitor meet my needs..

  • have a look at this Philips 40" 4K 60Hz Monitor $1029

  • Acer CB280HK (28") is currently $497 in the recent OW catalog. It will do 4K at 60Hz only from the displayport input, DVI is limited to 30Hz. Reviews are generally positive, especially at this price. The stand also allows rotation to a vertical display.
    Two of these for $1000!!

    • OW ? Link up please! :)
