Flight Centre - Lowest Airfare Guarantee

I am planing to book for a ticket from Sydney to Melbourne on Virgin website. It is $510 for a return ticket.
After applied 10% from this deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/202174), the price reduced to $459.

I went to Flight Centre and made the same quote and it gave me $510 for the ticket (without 10% discount).
I don't know if It is eligible to beat Flight Centre about Lowest Airfare Guarantee or not?
If yes, how much discount that I can get from Flight Centre. Is it only $1 cheaper?

Could anyone please help me? Thank you very much in advance.

    Yeah, it's usually only $1 (they used to give $20 voucher also but not anymore) but probably won't match a coupon code either. Pay the extra $1(or save $51) and save yourself a lot of hassle of having to deal with flight centre.

    And that is either an expensive ticket or a cheap business class fare.

    Get about 5% off again, with entertainment book? Takes two days to turn around, but if you can wait, that is at least another $20 saved.

    I usually use their price beat guarantee only if fare I selected comes from website I'm not familiar with.

    Its only 1 $ cheaper but at least I have some form of security.

      I guess that's true. You can also check the different terms and prices for changing the ticket etc. The airline will always be cheapest and easiest in this regard.

    I got the flight centre price beat with the VA 10% off.
    Its not just a $1 discount. Flight centre price beat don't charge the CC fee. You can pay with your Credit Card fee free so you actually save more than $1 per ticket.
