There seems to be a bug in the notification implementation. I read and sometimes respond to replies to a comment of mine on the desktop. Then I continue reading OzBargain on my mobile and find notifications for the same replies again. To me that sounds like the already read list is associated with the session rather than the account.

What happened was that when you click on the desktop notification it directs you to the reply, however it does not set the notification as read (which it should). I'll get that fixed this week.

Clicking on the desktop notification popup should now mark the said notification as "read".
I still have this problem in Firefox 21 and 40.0.2
If I click on the notification link or the "mark as read", the notifications are still showing for days. I can live with it.I'm on XP Sp3, and have Ghostery running if it matters.
Just thought I'd mention so you know.
