Jetstar 5 cent tickets

Just saw this on the Sydney Morning Herald,

Jetstar to sell five cent airfares

Here is the important bit:

The Qantas low-cost offshoot plans to sell 5000 five cent fares (including taxes) on its website from 7pm tomorrow night on a handful of its routes.

Let's see who is the first one posting a direct link to this promotion!! (Note: must be on Jetstar's site, and must be about this promotion)

I will be back in Sydney at 5pm tomorrow, and will be on my computers crashing Jetstar's web server trying to score my tickets at 7pm after settling the kids to sleep :) Wish me good luck.

Comments

  • Can't wait … Let see if I have any luck with this one.

  • nah I haven't even got their mail yet. I wonder what routes will be on Sale.

  • Only members of Jetstar’s Jetmail e-mail registration program will be offered the ultra-low fares.

The fares will only be offered on eight Jetstar routes.

The tickets are also for travel in the low winter season, more than six months away and on selected flights on the low-peak Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday daytimes.

The five cent tickets also entail a $2 credit card fee for people booking over the internet.

  • The promotion has been updated on Jetstar front page requiring people to sign up to access their SALE page. Would this reduce the traffic during SALE time? I doubt it will but hopefully a few would have a luck on this one. :)

  • From Jetstar homepage:

  • Don't think I have much luck
Already have problem from their site

    " Gateway Timeout
The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server.

  • I didn't get any mail from JETstar. Anyone has? Or is it because I'm in WA. Can anyone give us a direct link or anything on it?

  • I am confused where we should be talking about this.
