How hard is it to Show Prices…? Is the price SO high? Thanks.

    • Thanks 4 Prices.

      • Hold on, web pgae says:

        • "Enter Postcode for Pricing"

        BYE BYE, Masters…

        You were costly before,
now you seem to be too much like Amazon.com (a while back):

        • Different prices for different customers.

I don't shop at places with a business plan like that.

  • any active coupons at the moment?

    • $10 off over $65 spending at selected store

  • Here's one of them, will probably be most popular.
2.0mm is the most common size for domestic use, isn't it ?
    https://www.masters.com.au/product/900031176/hitachi-helicoi…
    $10 for 126m

    • 75% off in Sydney. In QLD only 50% off

  • Anyone use this stuff? I normally use diamond profile around 2.6mm to cut thick grass in paddocks. This looks sharp but I don't want stuff that breaks too easily.

This 3 page PDF compares Round, Square and Helicoidal line.

    http://www.hitachi-powertools.com.au/Media/Documents/Trimmer…

Normal people might call it "star" shaped.

The problem is that (say) 2.65mm Helicoidal line has a significantly smaller overall cross sectional area compared to 2.65 round or square. So it tends to snap off and wears heaps faster than the more standard types.

I reckon you need to go up at least 2 sizes to get the same overall performance. So if you normally used 2,4mm round you might need 3.0mm Helicoidal. Problem is, if you normally use 2.4mm round then the 3.0mm line probably won't fit anyway.

    • Thanks for your info
