      No, I disagree.
      My Free TPU bumper from applebthen subsequent $1 ones from ebay have never failed from a drop, bounce or a drunken throw!
      The plastic crap on the back that adds to a build up of dust/sand/grit, eventually scratches the f*** out of your back cover.

    It actually does have a back, it's in the description. "Material: TPU Bumper with Matte Hard Back". You can also see the outline of it around the camera in the photo posted on the ebay page.
    It would most likely look like this, which is what the one I bought previously (from a different seller) looks like.

    I love mine and it's well worth $1 and so far has saved it from a few decent drops.
