Shop Vac 1400w 20L Wet & Dry Vacuum $39 @ Masters Northland VIC

150

I was looking at these at Godfrey's for $59 so obviously had to check out Masters to see if I could get a price beat. Looks like I managed one better.

Not sure of availability in other stores, a quick search suggests they're still $83 at a few stores around Melbourne, good luck.

Edit: just picked mine up, they have them on display, there looks to be more than 20 available. I also noticed a couple in the click n collect area, glad to see a few people have taken up the offer already :-)

  • $83 at Adelaide airport

  • Aww man! I bought one a few weeks ago for $67! During the ebay sale. Nice find, op. The plastic is not great quality but the suction is powerful enough for me.

    • +1

I think that they are supposed to be used on floors… Good thing it is wet and dry.

Whatever floats your boat though. No judgement here.

    • +1

Me too but that's the 30L if it makes you feel better :)

  • Im surprised by the amount of water this thing can suck.

    • -1

and water is not the only liquid it can handle

  • What do most people use the wet function for?

    • I used it once for a rather silly emergency. Ran bath, interesting bit on TV came on, forgot about bath, lots of screaming, swearing, running around pointlessly… Used vac to get rid of excess water instead of wringing a rag till my hands became raw.

    • For drying

  • I think these were $29 at masters a month ago.
They wouldn't sell me the last shelf one as it was supposedly nailed to the shelf to stop theft. Lol.
He said it was very underpowered anyway.

    • I believe that was the 10L

  • So how is this for the home? No bristles? Does it use reusable bag?

    • +1

Flat floors = great. So lightweight. Long cord and nozzle.
      Carpets = not really.

      (Based on the Aldi one)

  • Showing it at $83 here in WA, is it only a select few stores with it at $39?

  • These aren't practical for carpets especially doing an entire home. Just look at brush heads. Not to sound sexist but more of a man's vac. Heavy and takes a bit of effort to use.

We have one similar that my partner uses. I hate the things honestly. Too heavy and bulky. I think they use bags but you don't have to. I could be wrong. Partner uses it for sucking up water spills etc. I use a thing called a mop lol Probably ok for keeping in the garage, doing the car etc. Anywhere but in the house! :)

  • When I have Hawthorn (Melb also - about 15km from Northland) as my store it says $83
But change store to Northland, it's $39 so looks like store specific

  • Yup same here $89.00 at Hawthorn

  • $83 at my local.

  • Ok I did this.
Selected northland as my store and it did show $39 as price.
I added into my card and then changed my store as Oakleigh and selected pick up from store.
Price was still $39, checkout and paid. Now waiting for collection confirmation.

    • As soon as i change my post code it changed the price. I think it is just $39 as well at oakleigh

(profanity) sake nothing in WA 😢

  • Are the bags and filters that come with this reusable? Indefinitely?

    • +1

You can get a reusable dry only filter which is a big circular paper thing a retaining ring and some foam. It isn't included. You need both of these.

The included bag isn't reusable, but provides finer filtration than the cartridge filter. It's for dry vacuuming only.

The included cartridge filter can be used for wet or dry. Probably best to use it for wet only.

      • Thanks.

I got a $40 bagless vacuum from Aldi and the filter is reusable and I just need to clean it and empty the canister.

I'm just a little confused on the total cost of this vac in the end. So I need to change the bag after every use?

        • +1

You don't need to use a bag unless vacuuming fine dust. In which case it's like any other bag, you can throw it out when it's full after multiple uses or if you want to be a true OZbargainer it's not that hard to empty it out through the opening hole by hand.

  • I've missed every deal for a wet dry vac now and this one I can't get as I am in WA…

Is there anything different other than the colour from this one and the one at Godfrey's for 59? Thinking of getting that one…

    • As far as I can tell the only difference is the colour, and this one comes with one bag.
