  • Sorry, don't know how to put a picture up.

Pictures are auto generated by the Ozbargain back end.

  • I know it doesn't help…but I got mine from this deal last year…https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/172797

$160 USD would unfortunately, convert to AUD $210 due to decline in AUD$ dollar.

So this isn't a bad deal.

  • This uses 19nm TLC NAND. The same used in the problematic Samsung 840 EVO. Not saying there's a problem with this one though I'll probably be avoiding this for the time being.

    • Sorry but you really don't know what you're talking about. I have had this drive for over a year and it functions fine.

The Samsung 840 EVO has been fixed and it's not a hardware fault. Why are you bringing Samsung's faults into a deal about Sandisk SSDs? Talk about misleading people.

      • The Samsung 840 EVO mSATA isn't fixed yet. There aren't any 2nd firmware updates for that one even though the SATA version got one.

        • Good thing none of the deals listed here are mSATA drives nor are they Samsung drives.

        • @tendollar:
It's not totally unrelated as the smaller NAND size decreases durability. Also cramming 3 bits per cell also degrades the ability to retain voltage.

Good to know you aren't having any problems but just saying I'll be avoiding this for the time being.

        • @silent1: I been having slow read /write issues with my Evo 840 SSD and it supposed to have been fixed…

Install Samsung Magician 4.6 and update firmware or use the EXT0DB6Q file.

Don't think the 128GB is correct, not ultra II

      Thanks, corrected.

    • Ahh good spot. Thanks for that.

  • Wow. Cheap

  • Damn…

Those huge SSDs are getting to a price that I'll buy WAY more SSD storage than needed, therefore spending WAY more than needed :(

    Damn you "value"!

  • The Sandisk Pro SSD models seem hard to find these days.

  • Wanting that pbtech deal back for $61.22 AUD lol

  • Sandisk vs evo vs bugs……. they have completely different controllers so I'm not sure how evo bugs got into the thread.

slc vs mlc vs tlc …….. 19 nm. there are a lot of things that determine the longevity of the drive including how much spare memory they have allocated to map in when some cells die.
