I'm in the market for a Quilt, queen size. Wanted to be 7 blankets warm rating. Tried eBay but it's flooded with too many confusing quilt/doona from all over the world.
Ideally i want to avoid Chinese Quilt as apparently they use young geese and aren't as warm as they claimed to be.
Anyone knows of good deals around?
Actually never thought about this. Comforter, can they replace duvet/doona?

edit: I don't actually know the regular prices/quality/warmth rating but the last goose down (no feather) I saw was close to 300$
google how goose feathers are obtained. I'm sure there are less cruel choices.

this is very warm, winter weight, though subjective - tog rating is a better guide
for a standard fill weight, fill power should be 650+

I have Wool, problem it being too heavy. Duck as it turns out is OK but wasn't as effective in keeping warm. That said, the article I read was saying dhe difference isn't very obvious.
The problem i had was that TOG rating seems to only being used effectively in UK. IN Aus, everyone talks about blanket rating @_@
