Bought one yesterday from 11 Dec Catalogue. Over $100 cheaper than any other advertised price I could find and I think way below HN's cost. As a bonus you get the HD Everio $450 Extras Pack, which includes case and extra battery + JVC NX-PN10 iPod Dock and additional 1 year Camcorder warranty (total 2 years)(by redemption).
If like the older version of the 30GB one I have had a for 2yrs now it is a pain to try edit vid's on a pc as they are in a file format most editing packages dont like.
Not anymore cmcv, this model now uses AVCHD format - industry standard for HD Video.
sorry Model number should be GZ-HM200. Reviews are pretty good for a HD Camera at this price. Had 2 x SD slots too (no built in memory). 20x Optical Zoom.
Below cost? We hear sales guys go on about this all the time to make us feel sorry for them but is it really true?
Indeed it is $100 below retail price, but below cost price would most likely be $30-$40 which JB could easily match
good deal but i could not find any specs on the camera at jvc site.
