can anyone give any feedback on how good the matchmaking is? ideally on ps4..

    • +8

Sorry, these are PC figures: 600 players per day on average. That's absolutely depressing. The game is dead on PC. It should tell you something about the game.

      • 600 players per day on average

You're reading it wrong. It's an hourly average over a 24 hour period so at any given time you can expect to find +/- 600 players.

      • Isnt that number refering to the peak of players at any one time in the past 24 hrs?

        What he said ^^

My experience on PC (have not played in freaking ages).

You either get matched with noobs and get owned or (semi)pros and just decimate. I was keen as mustard for this game when it launched and only played for 3-4 weeks.
IMO turtle rock shot them selves in the foot / hands / genitals by filling this game with nerfed classes and loads of crap "DLC".
If you had 5 friends to play together, it would be great. Once you branch out into matchmaking it is terrible and no fun at all.

        Play L4D2 instead.

I like to use this tool to compare Goat Sim to AAA releases. Goat Sim against Watch_Dogs is my favourite.

If your MEGA-HIT INDUSTRY-CHANGING SUPER-GAME is less played than Goat Sim, then we have a problem.

        • @FrankMcFuzz:

But Goat Sim is cheap, and it is likely a lot of people who plays that are comprised of demographics that do not usually play Evolve or Watch dogs.

For eg casual gamers or younger ages

    • It's odd. Easy to get a game, but it is a mix of player levels. So you can have complete noobs against or more likely with people that play this non-stop.

  • Great price but I'm not sure if this is worth picking up at the moment considering the game is nearly dead.

  • Do you need PSN Plus to play this online?

  • Is this game any good as a single player game?

I didn't enjoy it - no. Returned it for The Order and discovered another catastrophic failure!

Can you tell us which game you'll get next?

Just so we know what to avoid.

        • +4

Haha bought Arkham Knight for PC last week. Yeah avoid that too.

          @Leafmew:

3 games to avoid is too many! Here, let me choose next game.

I suggest you play DUKE NUKEM FOREVER!… I mean, Spec Ops: The Line. It's a really good game, trust me.

  • i heard its a bad game, should get arkham knight instead tbh

  • Great game and TRS are always making improvements. They have a good community website too.

I havent played for a while, however matches used to be over either a) within a few minutes or b) go on forever chasing the 'monster' player. The devs just didnt listen to the feedback from the beta. Nothing changed and the game really suffered for it. Not even going to mention the sheer amount of DLC for the game. Microtransactions up the you-know-what.

I would avoid like the plague.

  • Apparently it is decent-ish on console but unfortunately on PC it is dead.

  • Personally going to wait for the Steam sale, as it has the added benefit of an influx of new players - Wave 2, as it were.

  • Splinter Cell Chaos Theory did 1st person Mercs vs 3rd person Spies. Never got to play it though unfortunately. BTW.

And Blacklist too! It was a blast when the servers were populated…

    Sold it last week

There's no players online for ps4

Games don't get filled and you end up with bots

  • really wanted to play this. love the concept but hearing from you guys making me hesitant to purchase this.

    • I think you've missed the chance to have a serious play of it. I haven't played the game personally, but enough people said that they had a few games and felt done with it, then not to mention just how dead it is on PC. If I wanted to give something like this a play, I'd go to EB games and price match, then return within the week if it was as bad as everyone says it is.

  • Even at that price it's not worth it. The amount of players is steadily dropping over time and barely passing a peak of 1000 people globally for PC.

  • I'd pay no more than $5 for it considering how dead it is on PC (Mustard race). I have friends who own it on other consoles but they haven't touched it in a while. The concept is good, but at the end of the day it gets really repetitive. There was also DLC announced before there was even a trailer or gameplay of it. It's a cashgrab.

  • I only played in beta, so my opinion is skewed, but it was pretty poor.

  • Just consider No story mode and dead servers before buying.

  • Best game currently out: Witcher 3

Look out for: Fallout 4 and Dishonored 2 in the next few months

  • Hey what about Titanfall, what are the stats for that?

  • Expired, its up to $38 now
