I have been searching for a 4k TV and came across this JB HiFi deal. Seems so good seeing that the soniq website is selling these for $1,399. Have not heard much about soniqs TVs though, wondering if its worth it

If you pronounce Soniq with a silent Q its sounds more expensive.
Works well with Palsonic if read with 2x speed :)
If you pronounce it with a 'c' you get to roll around and collect gold coins in a fun little fantasy world…at least until IP lawyers come after you.
In the market for a new TV atm. Is this 100hz or 200hz?
I have a feeling its only 100hz. Does that make much of a difference?
You think the two options are 100Hz and 120Hz. That's adorable.

Quick Motion 50/60Hz
When I've been into JB Hi-Fi recently, I was shown a range of tv's branded Soniq, Samsung and Sony. All were either 100hz or 200hz.
Sorry to disappoint you man, but there's no consumer grade TVs with actual 200hz refresh rates. Probably just marketing fluff.
@Newfag: Thanks, good advice.
Beat me to it…
Anyone here old enough to remember "Stutter Rap"?…"Judder Rap" perhaps?
Are you looking for a friend to say… you're great?
Down voted? Seriously?
They suck. I have a 55" HD panel with red bleeding. And the TV somehow makes image quality look worse than most other TV's I watch
Lifeless, bland, Soniq, I would flog it off for $200.00 and get a quality brand if I had the time
I think like many brands and stores the quality is hit and miss.
I own 3 of the older 40" screens from a few years back and they do have a couple of problems:
- sound intermittently drops for a second or so roughly every few minutes regardless of signal quality.
- EPG is broken - can only show today's programming as you can't change the date. However sound and picture quality aren't bad. Yes they're not up to the standards of the more expensive panels but at the time these TVs cost $399 each if I remember correctly and this allowed me to put them in different rooms of the house for less than some people were paying for one higher quality screen. Trade off has been worth it.
I think it's been 3 or 4 years and so far the only thing to break is one of the remotes. I was able to use a learning remote in it's place as Soniq wanted to charge some ridiculous price for replacement ($120 I think from memory).
Does it mean anything that it runs Android? Can you install apps from the play store?
And does it support Netflix?
I need a cheap 65"-70" Smart Tv with 3D…….
Changchong! Cheap!
Have you had any experience with the it, I know a couple of places having them as low as $1500
Nope, but get extended warranty and I'll be the one laughing…not the store
I presume the quick motion 50/60hz is another reason to look for something else. I am so annoyed I did not use the 20% paypal code now
what the hell does that even mean
im assuming its 4k at 60hz?
