I have a 9 to 5 office job which pays an average income and I am looking for opportunities to improve my cashflow. I can spare a few hours after work or over the weekends and some Airtasker jobs seem to fit my abilities and requirements. Any ideas to help me get started?

Step 2. Search for jobs that you know how to do
Step 3. Apply
Step 4. Wait for acceptance or rejection
Step 5. Do the job well / cry a little and move on
Step 6. Repeat steps 2-5 ?
I would not use that time to work for someone else.
But when it was someone else whose labour pool includes the entire internet connected world, that's insane. These services exist to connect people in wealthy countries to labour pools that are illegal in their own country, including Australia, due to terrible pay and conditions.
I'd have a look seeing what other people are doing. I'm not sure you'd be able to compete with unskilled labour. If it were me, i'd get a casual job
