I downloaded a whole lot of stuff from audible the other day, but it's a real pain to be able to download and play them because they use the magical 'aa' file type which can only be played on players they approve of (and there's issues with certain types of players only playing certain 'number' style downloads - I got lost in there somewhere). Spent ages trying to burn it to a CD/DVD so I could mp3 them but got nowhere. Not worth the effort in my humble opinion.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the Kindle play files in this format? I love my Kindle, getting free audio books makes it even cooler :-)
Gotta say, I'm not familiar with this author but the price is right and I have a suitable player so I might as well check it out.
