Best Dash Cam < $100

Guys, I thought it was time to start a new discussion on these. I've limited the price tag to under <$100 given this is OzBargain.

Some info below, I'm not covering the different variants (battery/capacitor etc)

A118
- Price: $98 AUD @ Gearbest with $7.87 back via CashRewards (priced from $78 on eBay, unsure if fakes are an issue)
- Resolution: 1920×1080 @ 30fps
- Resolution: 1280x720 @ 60fps
- Angle of view: 170°
- Memory: 32GB Micro SD officially (some 64GB Micro SDXC work)
- Extra support: GPS Module (~$25)

- Price: $59.02 AUD (at time of writing) @ Gearbest ($4.72 back via CashRewards)
- Resolution: 1920×1080 @ 30fps
- Resolution: 1280x720 @ 60fps
- Angle of view: 120° (G1W-H/G1W-CB has 140°)
- Memory: 32GB Micro SD officially (some 64GB Micro SDXC work)

Mobius

… Ran out of time right now but I'll continue to work on this thread if there is any interest.

My early pick is the A118, due mostly to the 170 wide view angle, but also I like the GPS addon module too. Apparently it's not as clear as the G1W directly ahead as a bi-product of the extra viewing angle but to me it's still worth it, also a lot neater (smaller) unit. Currently costs a bit (it's been cheaper).

    I have been meaning to get one but don't know anything about them. I'll watch the review for the A118 when I get home tonight, looks nice and about the price I was willing to pay for one.

      Glad theres been some activity in this thread, that'll encourage me to finish off the post. FWIW, Mobius is probably not going to be anyone's first choice as a pure dash cam, because it's not actually a dash cam, it was made as a spy cam that just happens to be really good at its job and versatile to use for different applications. More of an all-in-one camera that one. But for something you can easily remove from the car I guess it's the obvious choice.

      Techmoan (the youtube guy I linked) was using the G1W first, then the Mobius, then the A118 so his preference is in that order I think. Unsure what he's using now.

      As nytrojen said, the G1W-H / G1W-CB is the best bang for buck hands down. I like the A118 but at double the price (esp if you buy the optional GPS module) it's definitely food for thought. The viewing angle gets me, hard to ignore the G1W-CB though also!
