  Same dishwasher, different finish.
  The SS is stainless steel, the other one is just white.

    I just said this to the wife

    Me: "See this guy just said the same thing I said"

    Wife: "It's not, it's the same dishwasher."

    (stubborn wife) :)

    Also the interior looks slightly different, clearly a different model…

      You're both right…. (I know its hard to believe this can happen in a relationship)

      It is the same dishwasher.
      They are just a different color, thus the different price.

        Yeah we're both right, but there are also differences to the exterior (finish) and internals (our model has SS trays) where as this model has white trays.

        To keep the peace I'll tell her we're both right

        (But we know she's wrong) :P

  As a former person who used to inspect dishwashers and other whitegoods for a government authority, I can tell you that most of the "brand name" dishwashers and washing machines are either manufactured in China or Turkey by Midea or Galanz. Do a google search on those names and see how many dishwashers are "the same" machine just with a different control panels and finishes.

    Are you suggesting that the quality of the wash is same in all Dishwashers?

    I bought Aldi Dishwasher & returned it in 4 weeks. It would never clean properly on any cycle. When Intense cycle didn't work, we first rinsed then ran Intense twice but still the results were hit & miss.

    We bought Bousch 6 series which is 3 times the price but it is just amazing. The dishes & utensils come out very clean.

    But top score for Aldi's customer service. When we rang them about our problem, they asked us to return it to the store & no questions.
