  • How do these compare to other minimalist wallets?

    • Wallet is excellent. Very light and durable. I bought the 4 card version but I have 6 cards in it - one slot has 2 cards and my licence in the cash slot - with enough room left for several notes of cash. The brown is a nice vintage colour. The best thing is just how small and almost weightless it is, it just disappears in the pocket in a nice way.

      • Thank you freelife!

  • is that the old model or the new one he said he was getting in (new improved design)?

      old model, they're clearing out

I envy those who can exist with less than 20 cards in their wallets. How simple and organised their lives must be.

how do u have 20 cards man… at least not 20 everyday card?

i have two wallets. an everyday wallet and a travel wallet (which holds my travel geared money & loyalty cards)

    • I envy those who can exist with more than 20 cards in their wallers. How wealthy they must be.

On a serious note, I was able to downsize because of apps - namely, Stocard on the iPhone. Even my Medicare card I don't carry anymore, I just use the Medicare app which has your card details.

That is handy to know about the medicare card. As far as 20 cards I exaggerated. I have 18+ a drivers license. :) My son is 22 and in a wheelchair. He has to carry 5 cards issued by government departments just for everyday life. Throw in bank, loyalty and gift cards and he usually has 10 cards and his life is pretty uncomplicated. Some people just have complicated lives with complicated needs (or aren't organised enough) Like I said…I envy those who are able (by lifestyle choice, being very organised or just not having a complicated life) to carry just a few cards. I know it can be done but I never know from one day to the next what I will be doing, where I will be going and who I will have to deal with no matter how hard I plan (which to be honest isn't very) so I have a wallet with 9 slots and a Drivers License window and everything is at least doubled up. Works for me I defy a pick pocket to get the beast out of my pocket without first removing my fat arse from my pants. :D

Eh, I got the wallet in the last $20 deal. It's ok, nice quality and everything, but in my personal opinion the wallet is butt ugly because of the way it lays out the cards on the outside. I used it for a week or two and then ordered a Dash 3.0. On the plus side, it did make me realise my old wallet was way too chunky (although it does make it quite hard to lose)

  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/194587 nice quality and it looks great. I'm definitely getting another as soon as they restock

Shame the 6 pocket one is sold out :/

    • Agreed. I would love a 6 pocket one

  • David from Palmera here. Thanks for posting OP. This one is now out of stock.

To answer the previous question, this is the older model. The new ones will be very similar but will have a new lining and will be stitched at the top as well. I'll also be bringing out a very slim bifold wallet (one note pocket, 3 card slots each side, no coin pouches or flaps).

New range will be available from August.

    Cheers
    David

  • Item arrived today, thanks! Holds my PTV cards very well :)

    • Great to hear. What are PTV cards?

      • My myki (and Opal) cards :p
