My Telstra Prepaid Credit expires in 2 days, what to do?

I'm currently using Telstra pre-paid and hardly ever use my credit. I'm also a total n00b when it comes to Telstra and credit. So please give me some advice on what I, as an OzBargainer would be best to do with my credit.

I did a $30 top up and it expires in a couple of days. I've still got $30 of credit, with $162.23 CapCredit and Capdate is 77.700MB

The only thing I can think of is sending the credit to my gf?

Any other options?

    If you are a light user then after you sort this out get onto something more suitable like a as you go post paid plan from Amaysim or some similar offer from Aldimobile. The Aldi pre paid sims for $1 atm are great value.

      Thanks for the info, I'll look into them for sure… I'm sick of loosing credit I don't use, but at the same time it's annoying not having credit when I need it! @_@

        The Amaysim pay as you go plan would suit you best. There is no contract, no flag fall on calls and if you have not run up $10 worth of use in the month they just carry it over to the next month.
        Great plan for light user.

        Oh forgot to mention, change that Telstra pre-paid plan when you're next up for recharging too. Telstra now do $50 that lasts a whole year!

        I just filled up $140 that won't expire for two years!!!

      Although I appreciate that as an option be aware Amaysim and Aldimobile MAY not give you anywhere near the performance of the Telstra you already have. I my area specifically nothing else works and if it does it's so slow it's unusable.

      Basically Telstra CANNOT be beaten for reception/performance. This does make them more expensive, it is true, but some people are quick to point to switching to others which is fine but please be aware it may not be a good option depending on where you actually plan to use the prepaid.

    Get your gf to creditme2u $1 to your number to extend your credit. Then you'll have more time to transfer the rest of the credit to her.
