$17 for an extra gig of ram and double space? impressive.

    • yeah doesn't worth going with the 16gb model

  • +1

great phone D855 32GB/3GB. got mine for $390 a month ago on sale. Installed CM12.1 and its fantastic. 4.5hr SOT.

    • What SOT abbreviation for?

      • +3

Screen on time. A pretty good indicator of battery life

  • +3

Best to get the 32gb model. 3GB does make a difference.
The 16GB model will have some lag.

  • +3

Might be cheaper to buy next week with the $50 voucher from qd_au depending on the colour you want

    • do you have insider information about this deal?

      • Forget that idea. I can see qd_au have increased their prices. This is the best deal.

  • +1

Pity the phone is so big

  • white 3gb sold out :(

  • +1

kogan increased the price by $48. see the sold history..

    • +2

Although I am sure they often jack up the price before a discount, in this case they were running a 10% off promotion on it last week, I paid $434.49 On the weekend for the Black 32/3Gb (and will get the $50 Ebay voucher July 1)

    • yeah they had a 10% off sale prior to this 20% off voucher.

    • alright, fair enough. Wait and see for now as I'm also waiting for $50 voucher.

  • +1

Still fantastic bang for buck. Have had mine for a fair few months now. Screen still blows me away.

  • LG G3 or Asus zenfone 2 (4gb ram)

    Price-wise it's 387 vs 328..

    • Yeah I wondered the same… but I didn't want to be an intel ginea-pig, and the Asus seemed a fair bit heavier/thicker

    • +5

      g3 for sure

      • Your reason being?

        • I don't trust the power of intel to be on android. Only on PC I trust them.

      • Nah, Asus is likely to be more smooth. If you want 4K video and a camera with optical image stabilization then go with the G3… But other than that the G3 isn't much better than the Zenfone2.

    • yup, i compared that too. I may go for G3.

      1. the really good qulity of lg g2 i am using, assuming similar quality
      2. the zenfone 2 screen is not bright enough
      3. the size of g3 is smaller, thinner bazel
      4. I cant see a big difference in speed between these two on youtube

      off topic a bit

I am also after lg g flex 2, a very unique looking one. Something diferent from the boring form factor

      • You should go for g flex 2. $429 ON T-Dimenision website. Good price for a sd810 phone.

    Sorry for the ignorance,

    Is this unlocked?

EDIT: NVM, literally says its unlocked on the website.

What's the battery life on the G3? I've read a lot of mixed reports and I would really like something that could at least last a full day with decent usage (some browsing, youtube videos, music listening, and a bit of gaming).

    • Yeah I was really indecisive from the videos I saw.

4-6 hours OST. But if you manage to root it and desperate for power, they have extended battery pack/cases available.

    • have had mine for about a month, I get two days usage from a full charge, EASILY a day with what i consider heavy-ish usage.

  • Sucks how the price went up….

  • My brother has one and the camera is a disappointment. It keep freezing all the time and is always at the most important moment that he want to capture, back to his old iPhone 5s now.

  • thats phone was $443 2days ago on Kogan eBay store , they increase the price with this offer
I was planning to get it now no :(

    • +2

Agree it's annoying and predictable but don't be put off. I bought yesterday when they were offering 10% off and a $50 ebay voucher for July. Do the sums and you'll see that's only about $1 different from the current price with 20% discount. I would have preferred today's price because the net price is essentially the same but I wouldn't have to spend $50 next month. At the time I bought, today's 20% off wasstill unconfirmed and iI. I didn't want to risk missing out. If you were happy with yesterday's price, you should be extra happy with today's that is $49 less upfront and you don't have to wait hoping you receive the $50 voucher. Hope this helps, go get one! :)

Galaxy S4 at Goodguys is a good alternative https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/200314

    • +2

S4 is too old now. If paying that much to get the S4 might as well use less than $300 to get a G2.

      • +1

Agreed. G2 is better option compare to S4, as S4 has Snapdragon 600 where as G2 has Snapdragon 800

  • The difference between the ebay and their website i believe is they added the shipping to the price and made it free delivery, so may be same.

  • This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available:(

    • black and gold still available

  • Thanks got one. Now hunting for a case. Anyone can recommend one?

    • +2

      quick circle case

      • Link to one you bought?

        • +1

cheapest one on ebay. non genuine but still functions the same

    • if you want cheap and simple case this for US $0.33

    • Ringke fusion is a good case

  • +1

Does shipping actually take 2 weeks?

    • +1

Wondering this as well, anyone got experience with buying from Kogan eBay?

    • +1

Last phone for my wife took 8 calendar days from HK. Still waiting my G3 though, I got a 'has been processed' note 3 days later, but no tracking number yet and it's been 8 calendar days now

  • Is this offer still available, I am looking to buy a 32gb.

    • yes, black and gold still available

  • is this a good price? it went down to $347 for gold last 20% off.

    • When was that, should I wait then?

      • Previous 20% off ebay all stores it was $347, i think this price $387 is OK not too bad. Would've been better if Kogan didnt up the price.

  • Will this work with virgin?

    • yes it will i dont see why it wouldnt

  • -1

I'll wait a year when G4 will be the same price.

    • +21

why not wait 7 more years and get the G10 for the same price?

      • I don't want to buy it just because it's cheap. My current phone still works OK, and should last at least another year.

  • What about the 4G bands coverage ..
    700 / 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2300 / 2600 doesn't say what bands are covered like band 7,28 etc
Planning to order one , hopefully will get 4g coverage on Optus mvno . . Still on fence

    • +3

are you looking for this? tells you what frequencies correspond to what band number

      • Thanks mate , it is great info :)

  • Thanks everyone, just bought a gold for wife.

  • EDIT: Never mind - found the answer online.

    • Yes, you can download apps for your phone through your wireless network. You can even browse the internet this way.

      • Thanks… Now I'm struggling to find what freq/bands this phone supports - or I should say - needs. As I don't think it has 850Mhz 4G (used by Vodafone). Which I don't use atm, but still… I just wish they'd include all of them. Sure would make choices easier to make.

        • +1

I read on whirlpool that it supports all 4g bands used in Australia that's why I bought it.

        • @san_narula:

          http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2293221&p…

This quote is taken from towards the bottom of that page:

Just want to confirm the LG G3 D855 International
model will work with all Vodafone 4g frequency?

          No, it won't do 850MHz 4G.

          Back to me:

I have a Vodafone account but don't use it at the moment. If I do, it will probably only be to receive calls, but still - it makes the decision harder.

Also, I have a Clubtelco SIM that has 500MB free monthly data. Does anyone know what carrier that's with? (Surely not vodafone though!?)

Still debating with myself whether I should keep M7 or get this. Hmm…

    • get the g3 you wont regret it

  • This or Xperia Z2?
Many top comment or benchmark show Xperia Z2 is great considering the 4k picture and 60 fps video

  • This or note 3?

[32gb] Bought mine on the last day, still hasnt been posted. Anyone in the same boat?

    • Yep same

      • Just got a notification notificatioof that my order had been processed and "should be shipped shortly"

        • Just got the email as well :D

Still a bit disappointing, was hoping to get it today. Had ordered another G3 in the previous 20% deal via QD. Amazing delivery, received within 3-4 days.

        • Got the email yesterday as well. Will take another week.

    • Mine hasn't been shipped, no notification as below either.

  • +2

I just saw this phone in the flesh in an Optus store. My goodness, that screen is gorgeous. Very, very impressed. Next deal I am getting one of these for sure.

  • Just had notification its been dispatched. Looking fwd to 3gb/32gb a jump from the old S3 LTE.

  • Just received a dispatched email notification, should arrive this week.

  • received my shipping notification this morning, shipping is from Hong Kong

    • Want to add that mine came with the latest firmware out of the box. No update required

  • I just received mine. Not impressed the "Do not accept if seal is broken" is broken. Seems like the box has been opened. on visual examination of the phone it seems it has couple of minor scratches on the back cover.
    Not impressed Kogan

Has someone else received their package in the same condition. Broken seal?

Makes me think can it be a refurbished phone?

Thinking og returning it. Can I? It annoys me that Kogan got extra $$ as they jacked the prices up and still service is as if I bought a second hand phone.

    • Received a gold 32 gb phone yesterday from Kogan. Seal was not broken and no marks on the phone. Only issue was that it came with Chinese instructions.

If I was you, I would try and return the phone. Take some photos of the scratches and broken seal, and email them to Kogan. It is worth a try.

      • Thanks mate. Question: do you mean phone was in Chinese or the manual was in Chinese?
To be honest I dont mind either as long as I can be assured that tge phone is not a return or refurbished.

        • Manual was in Chinese.

        • @Rodo: my manual is multi language one.

  • Just received mine and my "Do not accept if seal is broken" placed on by kogan is intact

  • Ordered two and both had the seals broken.
Phone didn't appear to have any marks on it and when turning on went through the update to 5.0 process.

  • anyone been successful in having cashrewards track the purchase?

    • Yes I got it.

      • I didn't get mine, I think its because Kogan hasn't marked mine as being shipped yet.

        • I got it before I got the phone.

  • Got my black 32GB, kogan seal intact but a few small scuffs on of the back case.

    Came with 5.0 installed.
