Panasonic Bottom Mount Fridge Refrigerator 554L 3 Star NR-BY552XSAU $1153.60 + $44 Delivery / Free Pick up @ The Good Guys eBay

200
C20EXTRA

Bought my almost two years ago for $1344 (including 3 years TGG Warranty and Delivery), thought I have had the best deal until I saw this awesome fridge goes on sale on eBay!

Really awesome deal after applying the eBay C20EXTRA Coupon code ($1153.60) and an additional 2% through Cash Rewards ($1130.53), paying $44 for delivery will still only bring the price to $1174.53

This fridge normally had a RRP of $1600. Only down $1444 to price match the HN's EOFY deal. $1165 is really a bargain for this fridge

4.2 Star Reviews: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/panasonic-nr-by552xsau.htm…

I really enjoying the fridge after purchasing it, large capacity for its size, I like the bottom mount design without any shelves that allows you to fit more stuff into with without any size restrictions. Also the ECONAVI feature is really cool when you knows the feature will save you 10% of your electricity bill from the fridge.

  • I bought this last night from Harvey Norman for $1,300…….. :-(

    • Return it and save $178.88 like an OzBargainer Pro!

      • Fairly sure that Harvey Normal doesn't have a 'change of mind' policy unfortunately…..

    • You're covered for up to 7 days after your purchase with their price match guarantee

      • What are the exclusions?
Conditional offers, such as package deals, cash back, bonus, bulk purchase or limited quantity
Trade, special event, club or membership offers, or prices not available to the general public
Clearance, seconds or refurbished lines, or ex demonstration or display offers
Offers by any resellers, classifieds, auction sites, manufacturers, distributors or importers
Offers that require delivery from an overseas based distributor direct to the customer
Advertising errors (either ours or competitors)

        Auction site = eBay :(

        • OP will know when he/she calls them. YMMV.

    • Have you taken delivery? If not, maybe you can cancel it and buy from here.

I bought this exact same fridge last week as well from TGG for $1400 with delivery schedules for next week. I was able to cancel it without penalties and re-pruchased it from eBay :)

On another note, good job on the price haggling, Harvey Norman wouldn't budge below $1444 and the best TGG could do was $1400.

    • Probably should have been clearer - I got it for $1,444 (current Harvey Norman price) with a 10% gift card cashback - they gave me a $145 gift card.

Given we also had to buy a microwave etc, the gift card offer was of use to me.

So the price was $1,444 less $145 = $1,299……which I thought was a great price at the time.

I looked into the price match guarantee, but it specifically stated that it excluded:

"Conditional offers, such as package deals, cash back, bonus, bulk purchase or limited quantity"

So I am wondering if given I got the cash back offer, it will be excluded.

Only a phone call will tell - I'll see what they say :)

  • omg!! Smiley! can you send me your receipt!? I got this earlier this month and haven't received delivery yet! I called them just then and they said they would pricematch if I can get some solid evidence!!

    please please PM me!

    LaMMi

    • See my comment above - don't think my receipt will be much help as it is for $1,444 with a $145 gift card supplied as a cash back bonus, making a net $1,300…….sorry!

  • 400L Fridge
    154L Freezer

(Useful for those like myself thinking about upgrading a fridge-only + using a chest freezer).

  • Graysonline has been selling these for more than a year. I bought one about two years ago for $400, with only a few scratches and it was new. It was the best purchase ever. The fridge works just fine and it is better than the LG my friend bought

  • Good fridge/freeEr

  • Anyone can comment on the supposed unrelenting noise? Seems to be a comment theme among purchasers.

    Very tempted.

I got this fridge in Jan for 1300. I am a very satisfied customer. The noise… Yes there is a teeny tiny noise but only noticed that because I did an extensive research on this issue but I wouldn't have noticed this at all if I didn't read about it. I never noticed that after the first few days. The vegetables are surprisingly fresh for a longer period compared to my previous FP. I'd say buy it.

    • I dont notice the noise. as mentioned… great for veges. I say do it.

    • +1

The compressor runs at low speed almost constantly, with a little bit of electrical switching noise. It's fairly quiet.
Different from the usual on/off/on/off of a regular fridge.

Never seen it this cheap! Great fridge, super energy efficient and the design is just right.

    Best fridge I ever had!
It's amazing how long it can keep the fruit and veggies fresh in the draw

  • I would love to buy this but unable to accommodate the width. Max width would be 710 any suggestions?

does anyone know how can i purchase extended warranty from this ebay website?

  • any recommendation for a front load washing machine?

    • I would recommend a Bosch one, however TGG only has LG or Samsung ones for sale. LG ones are good as well

  • placed an order this mornimg but received an email from them. cutrently out of stock and they will place an order for me.

the question is will they? otherwise we will really be disappointed:(

    • I reckon they will take your order, since majority of the buyers did not receive that email

    • I got a call this morning from the good guys saying they only have their display model left. I requested to have a new unit and they told me they will order it in and it should arrive by next week. Fingers crossed.

      • thanks, guys. i don't mind waiting for three weeks. we are going to moving in a new place in one month . hipe tgey can deliver the bew fridge there

  • Will they take my old fridge?

    • +1

Yes they will, as long as you contact TGG prior the delivery. I am pretty sure they offered to take mine one away but I denied as I am going to sell it myself

      • do people buy old and used fridges? how do the buyer ship it home? they probably need a van or truck.
