20 April : Reported problem to TopBuy Support (via contact us) indicating :
"I received this item and within a week I noticed the charger provided with is FAULTY.
It does not charge the mobile battery. So for now I have been using another charger."
23 April : Sent another follow-up request as no response from them.
23 April : Assistant Product Manager replied :
Sorry to hear that, we will ship a working charger to you as soon as possible from our warehouse.
03 May : We received package from TopBuy but there was no charger, it was only a travel adapter.
Notified TopBuy again via same email ([email protected])
04 May : Assistant Product Manager replied :
Sorry about the confusion, we have made the notes that ship a "charger", our warehouse staff may
mix it up with the "adapter". We are going to run another shipment to you with the charger again.
10 May : Received package a usb charger ( NOT original LG charger )
24 June : Only grandmother at home. Had issue where she had to call in for our electrician.
Sent below to topbuy but no response yet :
Just in the morning we had big big problem due to this duplicate / fake charger given to us.
This bogus charger made some sound and “Tripped” our electric Circuit Breaker and main power was off for long time untill the electrician was able to identify the source of problem which is this fake charger. This has not only cost us unnecessary fees for electrician to locate the source of problem (causing the trip to circuit breaker) but also we wasted lot of time.
What else I can do here?
ask for some money back like 25-50
and go butbuy a charger, the original lg is only 1a anywayanyway I think, but is higher quality
