      • The v neck sweaters are gone. Only crew neck available

        • Ah, I see what you mean. Get the cardigan :-).

        • +1

@docpol: yeah got one before they get snapped too lol

        • +1

          @docpol:

Bought 3 - bargain at that price for extra fine merino.

Snap them up before they go!

        • @GGGU:

LOL, you made me bought another one! Good thing the discount code still works :-). I forgot cashrewards this time, though.

        • @docpol:

I did get cashrewards.. $1.11 lol!!!!

        • @GGGU: Haha, yeah, got it for my first purchase but forgot it on the second one!

        • Check again. They have just released some more as I bought one.

  • 2 Cardys, chinos, trousers and 2 pack of HEATTECH socks all for under a hundred is pretty good value :)
    Thanks OP!

  • Have anyone tried their chinos? Wondering if their chinos are good value

    • +2

They're good alright. Best value for the price. They come in long though (34 inches), so you'd have to bring your receipt and chinos in-store to get them hemmed by their staff (which is free).

      • Thanks mate. Too bad all my sizes are gone.

  • Thanks OP!

    Got a merino for 19.90

  • I think ozbargin have tried up all of their mens stock.

Where did the AIRISM UNDERWEAR go??!! Got them from last sale, they were great!

    • Was looking for these too, not available I guess.. :(

    • Stock varies with season.

  • Crew necks out of stock.

  • good stuff OP. Bought a cardigan and a pair of chinos.

prices should have been like this from the start.. dont know why Uniqlo australia prices are so high from the beginning compared to Japan..

    • Wages in Australia is at least 2x Japan especially in retail

      • +5

And because of high wages, logistics are ridiculous.

In Japan (and most of Asia), it costs $0.50 to bring a piece of cardigan/sweater from the factory to the distributing warehouse and then an extra $1.50 to distribute to the various stores in the country. That's a total of $2.00 from factory to shop.

Because wages here are crazy, warehousing costs are crazy, truck driver wages are even crazier (starts at $80k-$100k per annum, more than double if you're an experienced 20-wheeler driver), warehouse wages are crazy (picking and packing from shelves into boxes takes time) - I think it costs about $3-$5 just to bring one piece of sweater/cardigan from the airport to the stores in the major CBDs.

This is why their online store is able to provide cheaper prices - the costs only go up till the main warehouse. And then, they ship them direct from main warehouse to your home address, they incur less of the Warehouse-to-CBD-store costs (truck driver wages, remember?).

It does also cost Uniqlo money to ship it from main warehouse to customer's homes but they do usually charge for shipping to cover that cost. Which is why, today, free-shipping on these are actually a bargain!

I'm not associated with Uniqlo, but I happen to know how the micro and macroeconomics work in the retail business.

          Truck drivers earn $100k? Wow.

        • +1

          @Orpheus:

Have a mate who drives a trailer that ferries brand new cars from the airport to the dealerships.

$140k, he has 2 years exp on the job. He tells me he does night drives and weekend drives, and interstate drives to get up to that amount.

Sure it's a tough job, but man, $140k is not something to sneeze at…

        • @GGGU: is it his own truck or provided by company?

  • Can anyone recommend (or otherwise) their heattech socks?

    • They feel different from regular cotton socks, they feel more like sports socks (but feels thinner).

      • Thanks GGGU. Have you been happy with the quality?

        • +1

I am happy with the quality of my Heat Tech socks ($14.90 for 2 pairs).

  • does the code still work?? I keep getting invalid code error message

    • I just tested it and it is still working.

      • weird.. what browser did you use? I just tried and I got this

        • @JLai: apparently my order was cancelled without me knowing. Emailed them, but haven't got any reply back.

  • Oh my god the coupon is multi-use…and free shipping…whaaaaaat is going on!!

    • Take advantage while it lasts. Sale stock plus free shipping and promo code. Sweet! Cheaper than Lowes/Best and Less AND better quality

HeatTech shirts for $6 each :D

These are some of the best gym shirts I've ever owned, mostly because they don't get crazy static problems like my other poly gym shirts.

Let's just hope they don't decide to cancel/refund any orders.

        • How do the HeatTech shirts size fit? True to size?

        • @Orpheus:

I was having the same question… just bought them one size up from usual. Hoping they fit ok.

        • +1

          @pauper:
Its meant to be worn as undershirt/singlet. But nothing stopping you from wearing looser as outwear.

        • @Skimpywallet:
I have bought it with the intention of wearing it as a undershirt but if it is loose it will be home wear :)

        • @Skimpywallet: Nah they are fine as a comfy t-shirt. Plus the slightly stretchy material helps add a nice shape if you are athletic.

The shirts run a little small, I am a medium and buy these in large, they run a little long as well but thats perfect for me because I'm quite tall and find normal length shirts too short.

  • Mine says payment failed - then the coupon code not valid when trying to start over again. :(

    • still works here

    • Yup still working…

  • anyone got a shipping confirmation?
    ordered on Thursday :(

  • I ordered 25/6 and just got shipping confirmation email that my $19.90 merino sweater has left the warehouse :)

  • Just received an out of stock email. ): Anyone else getting one?

    • I received an out of stock email too.

      • What did you guys order?

        • The half zip merino mens knit.

  • Still haven't got any shipping confirmation.. not looking good.

    • There's a couple days delay. It isn't immediate as such.

  • the merino sweaters that were $29.9 are back up to $39.9?
    oh mens that was

    • Still $29.90

  • Thanks OP

  • Coupon code "NEWSTORE10" is not valid.

    • Not yet

Coupon code "NEWSTORE10" was applied successfully.

Don't log in. just check out with "a new address" option, the code should work now.

  • Could someone give advice on picking sizes for pants/bottoms? (the size chart is confusing me)
    I'm usually a size 6(or size 8 depending on brand) so should I pick 24in or 25in?

  • coupon works fine

  • I bought some XL t-shirts and found them a little too big for me.. I'm normally fine with XL

  • just got my delivery email
I purchased a few minutes after it was posted though

  • Got a delivery confirmation for one of mine, as well as an email earlier today saying to expect some delays due to the overwhelming number of orders.

  • Things are looking good! Have several delivery confirmations for my multiple orders (I'm sorry Uniqlo).

I don't feel super bad though since Uniqlo in Aus is basically the most expensive Uniqlo in the world compared to Singapore/Japan/etc.

Deal of the year for me.

  • FYI, my $19.90 merino sweater arrived today

  • Received mine today.. Good quality for $19.90

  • The 3 Medium shirts I received today are too large. Damn. Into the bin they go I guess.

    • Why don't you give them away? Sorry to hear that they were too large however.

    • Dayum, hope mine isn't too big. Which one did you buy?

      • My medium one arrived and they're a decent fit. Seems a bit thin though, but the material is nice to touch. I only bought it because OzBargain did. And I'll buy it again next time they're on sale.

    • Not sure about the shirts but the medium hoodie I received was way too small..
