I went to claim my activated birthday voucher for a free sub and drink on the 20th June (my birthday is on the 21st) but was told that the store did not accept birthday vouchers. My wife had the same problem last year but she was able to get them to honour the entitlement but they took a copy of her license. I have never had to do more than flash my ID to get any other deals.
I sent a complaint to Subway that day and they have not responded. Is it worth taking further action, like lodging a complaint with Fair Trading, or just let it go?
Have a good look in the T&Cs first for something saying 'participating stores only'. Also it looks like you're only allowed to redeem it on the day of your birthday
