Xbox One - Should i wait before purchase?

Hello everyone,
Long time lurker, first time poster.

Have been in the market for an Xbox One for a while now - obviously at the announcement of the $200 consoles at BigW I was about to wake up early and head over there - luckily I didn't though. I wouldn't be one for bowling people out of the way for a purchase.

Currently, cheapest prices I can find are:
Harvey Norman Assassin's Creed Unity Bundle $444 (http://www.harveynorman.com.au/games-gaming-consoles/game-co…)

The next one I was interested in was:
EB games Xbox one bundle w/ Elder scrolls, Halo and Forza for $498: (https://ebgames.com.au/xbox-one-800468-Xbox-One-Console--3-g…)
Only because I'm actually interested in purchasing Elder Scrolls anyway!

But I must ask, we people predict we'll see them drop?
I was actually in pursuit of the Xbox One/Assasin's Creed Bundle for a lower price, but if it's obviously a $499 bundle with good games I'd go for it.

With EOFY and seeing some PS4's drop, what do we think? and the release of the 1TB console?

PS4 bundle is $399 at BigW starting today. Xbone is oddly full-price. Even though 1TB model is confirmed.

I'd wait, they will drop below $399.

Currently the HN Entertainer Pack is best value at $499. That's too much for me.

The HN Entertainer Pack could possibly be had today for $498 - 10% gift card - $50 Amex credit = $398 (excl. delivery).

The HN Xbox One Console + Assassin's Creed Unity Bundle can be had today for $444 - 10% gift card - $50 Amex credit = $350

I mean, there aren't that many games yet. Wait a while, and there will be great bundles at Christmas, or next year. Sea of Thieves, Recore, and Halo bundles are without a doubt certain to crop up next year. Until then, well, I dunno, try to find some Forza Horizon, Forza 5, and Forza 6 bundles. Forza Value pack!

+1 About the games. Sunset Overdrive is about the only game I can think of that's got decent reviews and is Xbone exclusive.

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh because I'm obviously not the new core market that Microsoft wants to sell to. I have hopes though… Hopes that will be dashed if they continue to put all their exclusive games on Windows 10 as well, because I already have a PC capable of running most Xbone games without paying an Xbox Live subscription fee, meaning I won't need to buy their console. :(

        Gears 4 tho. Mmf.

It was an OzBargain thread that convinced me, a few weeks ago, to go to a gaming PC instead of an Xbox One or PS4. And then E3 came along. Nearly every game for either console will also be on PC, so I'm very happy with the decision. I mean, the Xbox One is looking better each month with the new UI updates, and the upcoming Windows 10 based OS will be better still, but instead I'll have a Win 10 PC that boots into Steam Big Picture Mode, just as good.

Now just waiting for a good deal on a 4GB 960 or 970 card, and I can start building.

I'd also add that I think an Xbox One S (slimmer version) is probably going to come next year or the year after, so if you're still looking long term, maybe wait for that.

I'd wait until the first hardware revision. Not a new SKU with a larger HDD (or no Kinect) but a physically different, and likely cheaper, model.

There is nothing on the X1 that is "oh.my.gawd! @wesome!" at the moment.

I'd wait, personally, for another price-drop. Microsoft seems to consider the holiday season pretty much the only time of the year worth investing in when it comes to most exclusives, so there's sure to be a special bundle or clearance price.

PS4 is sure to get some special bundle deal throughout the rest of this year as well.

Do you care about exclusives at all? If so, Halo 5: Guardians and Forza 6 launch by November this year if I'm not mistaken. Rise of the Tomb Raider also, if you can't wait for it to come to PS4 or PC later (timed exclusive for 2015).

Otherwise, it's kind of barren at the moment, in terms of gaming experiences you can only have on Xbox One and not on any other console or PC. Halo 2: Anniversary, Sunset Overdrive and Forza 5 are perhaps the only 'true' Xbox One games worth buying the console for that you can only play on it. Forza Horizon 2 is also on 360, the rest of the Halo Collection doesn't count (upscaled ports of Xbox and Xbox 360 titles), and many of the other previous exclusives now have PC ports now if you prefer playing on computer (Dead Rising 3, Ryse, D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, Killer Instinct).

Most of the upcoming games are also coming to Windows 10 PCs too (Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Sea of Thieves) but there's a few good ones that should remain XB1 exclusive like Crackdown and Quantum Break.
