Elder Scrolls Online $43 XB1 or PS4 @ Costco (Costco Membership Required)

80

Cheapest local release I can find at the moment. It was stickered at $57 but upon scanning, it was $43

Available for both XB1 or PS4.

Costco membership required though. Costs $60 annually so it's probably not a good deal unless you have a membership already.

  • Sign up and cancel after purchase. They'll refund your $60.

    • Or sign up and use for 11 months and then cancel. (can cancel anytime during the 12 months)
I have done this before and no hassles or questions asked.

      • Don't you think its too cheap to cancel in the 11th month? Did they give you any dirty look?

        • No dirty look at all. I personally did not think i got my $60 worth and satisfaction is what their guarantee is about.
          Credit to them.

Fact is i tried to get value out of the membership but as i was living in an apartment at the time, packs of 50 rolls of toilet paper were not really relevant to me. The store really suits buying in bulk.

Since i have moved in to a house, I have got myself a new membership.

        • @deal88:i am on the same boat. its really hard for me to get enough value out of the membership.

You sound pathetic tight ass from Caulfield?

Seriously… Its because of companies like Costco, that Woolies is much cheaper these days, 1 dollar breads, 50% off grocery items etc

I have been a costco member since 2009, since it first opened.

You get a forever warranty as long as you keep your membership active.

        • Actually there is no such thing as the forever warranty.
What there is though is a satisfaction guarantee, and if your TV breaks at any time, I figure you would no longer be satisfied.

It is a great policy and hopefully it does not get abused too much as I believe they have stopped it in some stores overseas.

        • @deal88:
I've made use of the satisfaction guarantee on a 6 year old Asus Transformer. Full purchase price refunded.
I've made big ticket purchases at Costco purely for this reason.
No plans to abuse it and really hope the policy sticks around before the scrooges rape the place.

        • @SuiCid3: I wish I purchased my Asus Transformer at Costco. I would have returned mine also.

  • They went free-to-play though…

    • Membership is for Costco. The game isn't free to play. You still need to buy the game, just no monthly subscription like WoW.

      • How is the game?

        • I don't own it. Not a MMO guy.

        • complete and utter garbage.
If you're looking for another TES experience look elsewhere.

Better off replaying Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim than wasting any time or money on this.

@Vlaka: Two Worlds 2 is a better Elder Scrolls game than Elder Scrolls Online, lol.

        • @FrankMcFuzz:
          haha pretty much.

Buys Skyrim for $10 and mod it like no tomorrow, save your money for fallout 4.

best advice you could give anyone contemplating wasting money on this tripe.

It's not a bad MMO, people hating on it probably have some sort of expectation that it's going to be like the other Elder Scrolls titles. If you take it as just being a standalone online game it's quite fun.

even though there are far better buy to play/free to play mmorpg's out there that do things better without the need to slap on a gaming licence just to try and attract a playerbase.

  • thanks op! i have a costco membership but rarely go there to see what's in stock

so thanks for sharing, i think i'll pay costco a long awaited visit this weekend now!
