iSport Freedom Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones - $197 (RRP $350) @ Harvey Norman Online

20

Was looking at these since they were recommended for my gym workouts.

I'm a sweaty kind of person, so the whole water resistant / sweat resistant thing appealed to me.

Was a bit steep @ $350, but found them heaps cheaper at Harvey Norman - so I got some.

i'd recommend the jabra sport pulse instead. It's also sweat/dust/shock resistant but its in ear instead of over ear.

  • can you plug cable when battery flat?
    battery life?
if $97 i will try but not $197

agree for weight lifting in ear is better but i suppose if OP is just doing running, this one is fine.

YMMV, and I think everyone is going to have a slightly different opinion on this.

I'm alternating between in-ear buds (Shure SE215 with Shure Olives that get replaced when needed) & Sony MDR1RBTMK2 (bluetooth, over-ears).

In-ears are most comfortable and have the best value for money, but I find that sweat tends to get into my ear canals at the worst times. Especially when you're breathing out on your heavier lifts. That brief moment that your ear canals open up just a little bit more lets sweat get in.

Over-ears tend to trap heat and make you sweat more than you usually would. Everyone once in a while, I would have to wipe my ears and headphones for sweat.

  • I have bought so many different pairs of headphones and in all honesty the Plantronics Backbeat's in my opinion are the best sports headphones ever.

I personally hate in-ear type headphones because they fall out of my tiny ears all the time however they stay in there even jogging or weights. I forget i have them on sometimes.

Plus I've sweated through them and dropped/stepped on them a heap and they still work awesome. Battery life is about 8 hours as well.

I think they were only about 80 as well :)
