Hi Folks,
So we are looking at going to the UK over xmas period (between 11th and 29th December) and ive been checking the usual suspects, SKyscanner, cheapoair, Expedia, Kayak etc, and ive not seen any particularly special offers.(from Perth btw)
As i am pretty restricted with the travel dates should i hold out and wait for a special… or should i just bite the bullet and pay (imo too much) now to be safe?
Does Qantas or Emirates have regular sales coming up?
Answering this question is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string! Airlines will, as I understand it, calculate their probable loadings and adjust their prices accordingly. Reckon you should look at leaving as early as possible as school holidays are always premium prices.
Have you looked at possibility of flying to Singapore or Malaysia or Bangkok, all important hubs and then flying on from there? Sometimes you can pick up a cheap fare that way.
Norwegian air is one airline that is fairly basic and flies out from BKK. Also look at Finnair. Try Hong Kong as a central hub too.
have you tried https://matrix.itasoftware.com/ Google have bought them now. there are some good deals to be found and use google to search for hints on how to maximize your searches. Good luck.
