THX Certification is amazing at this price!
I have a set Altec Lansing mx5021and they are pretty much still as good as the day i got them, and sound bloody amazing

    • Me too, I still have the original box! That thing and the Dell 2405 just won't die…

      • I have a 2nd set because at the time I got mine HN had a $99 sale on them.

    • Yes I had those, speakers will last a long time and not age is the moral of the story!

  • sick price for what looks to be excellent speakers. thanks!

  • +1

They are indeed one of the best speakers and at that price they are a steal. Been using them from one year.

  • Great price, I was trying to sell them 2nd hand for that!

  • Would these be suitable for a home theatre system vs micrloab solo 2.0 speakers?

    • +1

Go for it. You won't be disappointed!!!

  • My local Officeworks said they have a policy not to match Bing Lee and other potential grey importers (Kogan etc). I queried it a bit as this item isn't a grey import, and the guy went and got management approval to do it in this instance because it's the same product (and price difference wasn't huge).

When he tried to put the price match through it wouldn't do it - apparently the system wouldn't let him because it was Bing Lee… he also wanted to confirm delivery pricing and add it to the total cost…

While I fumbled around on my phone looking for a delivery fee (but I'm pretty sure it's free, wink wink), he worked around the system issue and got the price match through, didn't end up bothering about delivery - I guess I took too long to find it.

    Good luck folks

100% he was talking crap "the system" wouldn't let him price match.

It is simply a matter of saying to the girl on check out, Price match this price and type in the store name. No issues ever as long as same model and any shipping in final price.

  • Has anyone gone from X-140 speakers to these that can comment? I assume both bass and volume are greatly improved?

  • +1

i was actually deeply disappointed in this system when i bought it, and sold it immediately. very powerful but muddy highs and mids. I actually found the basic z313's to sound much better with a more balanced sound and it's what i use in my room, way less bulk too.

  • If only they were as decent as the Z-2300. still a good price though

  • They are excellent - I paid $130 around early Jan - And I love them so much. A great buy.

Been using these speakers for what would be 3 years now. Great price, but I highly recommend if plugged into a Windows PC, use your driver software to lower the levels of 125khz and 250khz on the EQ by roughly 20% and you'll have BRILLIANT sounding speakers. These two levels will bring the factory muddiness right down.

    • My first post here.

I finally found where I can adjust this setting but I only have the choice in adjusting by dB.

How many should I go down by on those two frequencies; is -3 for each about right? It was about 20% of the absolutely bottom value.

      Thanks!

        I'd say so buddy!

        • When I was doing some research about these, I also found the suggestion that "…the subwoofer is relatively overemphasized with the dial in its default position. The sound is much better balanced once you turn the bass down…". http://techcrunch.com/2010/09/24/review-logitech-z623-2-1-sp…

Would you recommend this or having made your suggested changes, this can be left at the default setting?

          Very helpful, thanks again.

          @myusernameistaken:

With the changes to the EQ, you can leave the dial in the default position, or even turn it up a little if that's your taste. The EQ just handles the muddiness of the high and mid frequencies on the satellites. :)

  • Thanks OP, price matched at office works Five Dock.

  • I'd price match these at Office Works. Would not buy at Bing Lee. The after sales service is terrible.

    • +1

Lol I don't think there would be 1 person who saw this deal that would buy It from bing lee

  • Never price matched before. What do I need to do? Do I just show them the price on the Bing Lee website on my phone when checking out at Officeworks?

  • actually the other day I walked in and saw it at officeworks selling for $124. funnily enough, people on gumtree think the RRP is
$150+. i wonder if I wait it out long enough, it might drop even further? LOL, but for that price, it's worth it definitely. Logitech is one of my fave electronics brands. none of that cheap stuff from Ch-na. hehe

You do realise that this is made in China , right? Not everything that comes out of China is crap.

      • +2

Yep Iphone made in China too.

  • These are great speakers no doubt. Just be aware that they do have a known fault. Frequently, a persistent 'crackle' is produced when turning the volume knob or on/off button. A little annoying and varies with degree of intensity/bother.

    • Wow. Mine doesn't do it. Either they changed the design or I am just lucky

  • hey guys, for some reason, binglee is trying to either confuse people or mislead them because there's 2 prices for that same product! check it here? by the way is it a 2.1 system?

    http://www.binglee.com.au/search?q=z623&page=1&limit=36&sort…

    • Yeah it's a 2.1 system, the picture in my main link doesn't show the sub but it shows on product page under the gallery pics

  • OW price matched, no questions, and being in Melbourne, we have no Bing Lee, or they would have been my choice to support aggressive discount retailer. I love a bargain, but also know I need to support competition to keep the bargains coming. . It's a great system, go it home ….. sounds better than my Sennheiser 600 or AKG 702 headphones. One of the better $95 I've spent in a while.

  • Yep, also got the OW to price match. No questions or arguments about being online only.

  • Best computer speakers! pumps hardcore!

got it at OW last night for $98.80 that's with $5 delivery fee and the 5% price beat.

    Happy camper :D

Just a heads up, you can now get them for $79.20 from Bing Lee on eBay by using the C20EXTRA code.

  • Well it seems they have increased the price to $169 now. It was a great deal while it lasted :)
