Been hanging out for the EOFY sales to buy a new TV, but haven't seen much come up on OzBargain lately.
Keen to get a 50-55" TV for under $900 - seen some deals historically, but are there any GREAT BARGAINS for deals currently active?
Any tip offs on a good deal would be great!!
Went to JBHifi yesterday looking for a tv bargain. One of the assistants whispered to me to come back later in the week and there'll be some decent EOFY specials. So I'm waiting till then

The 50" ChangHong for $543 would have been great! Keep missing the DSE codes, hopefully ones comes up again soon.

I bought a TCL 55inch at Betta for $769 with free delivery I would strongly suggest this TV fantastic all round LED LCD FHD TV. I am pretty sure if you go into a Harvey Norman store they have it for $690 which is just a ridiculous price.
how is $690 a ridiculious price vs $769 u paid ?

Do you think it's better to choose based on a good brand name or a larger screen?
Wait for a good dick smith discount code and look at the Changhong models. I have the 40" and very happy with the quality. The 50" was recently down to $543 with one of the codes, not sure about the 55". Changhong and TCL make their own panels and aren't like the soniq's etc that buy seconds or other panels so I would have more faith in them.
Unfortunately the time for TV deals is Dec/Jan, this time of year finding something bigger than 40" in the more well known brands for under $1k is difficult.
