While browsing in BigW (Yeppoon) yesterday I spotted these well-priced Wii Remotes in the display cabinet. They were not labelled as being on sale or clearance, but I am not sure if this is state or nation wide. These are the new Plus versions. It seems like the white version is still full price ($69). I don't need any more but thought I would post it for people who are on the lookout for some.

OK but when you're looking at a national retailer like Big W, and a cheap but not outrageous priced item, there's a good chance you'll find stock in other stores.

Yes, they were with motion plus. They were in the wii u starter packs Kmart were selling for 2 cents and also included just dance 2014, nintendo land and a sensor bar. It was posted here on ozbargain.
I got three of these packs for a dollar each at Target.
I got a Motion Plus with a nunchuck from K-Mart a few months back when I got the Wii U, two bucks. The sticker said $39 and I'm like "bitch please, you've got one of these on your shelf, I know you ain't gonna try and sell this for 40 bucks", went and scanned the thingy, $2. Thank you, Based K-Mart.
Not a bad price, especially for the Princess Peach one. I'd be interested to see if other stores had the Mario and Luigi ones at the same price too.

They usually come with one remote which is NOT motion plus
It really depends on what the store has in stock but I agree, you would need to be lucky to get one with the Motion Plus built in and it is only meant to be one controller. It's $55 at the moment.

Anything not new at EB games is far from refurbished. I've previously asked and it's apparently sent back to HQ for testing and then sent back to the store to sell. Nothing replaced/repaired/cleaned.
Can confirm all the "character" series are $40. Yoshi, Peach, Mario & Luigi.
And if you are lucky, there might be some Wii U Party with Remote Plus bundle black or white for $40.
Thank you for posting. The genuine ones are always far better quality than the el cheapo ones off ebay. Save the elcheapo cheapos for the sore loses who are inclined to throw them.
How much stock do they have? Looks like about a maximum of 4 in the photo.
