iPad Air 2 - when's the next sale

Hi guys;
I broke my IPad 2 this morning and the Apple shop guys said it's going to cost $300 to fix it, and $1000 for data recovery.
Anyone's got any idea when Myer's having the next 10% off sale or any other retailer's having a sale?

    What do you men by broke it? Is it water damage or just screen crack?
    May be something fixable if you are happy with it.

      Hey, well, my screen went all fuzzy and had funny lines etc this morning, so after googling, everyone suggested thumping the iPad real hard to fix it….I tried it a few times and it worked. So, now just being prepared that the iPad might die any time….

        What caused this issue?
        Surely it is a warranty issue? (Let's not even talk about the 'thumping')

        Maybe try a different Apple store/rep?

          It's iPad 2 not air 2
          Sot it's surely out of the warranty

          Ah, right you are. In that case OP, perhaps take it to a non-official repairer for a quote.
