So, for reasons unknown, I have decided to sell my soul to afford a Chromebook Pixel 2. Problem is, I can't find anyone that sells it to Australians.

If I had that much dough, I'll buy a Mac instead. Same reason I would buy an iPhone over an S6 = depreciation

I honestly doubt there is anything you can do with a pixel that I can't do with my Toshiba CB except maybe have a few more tabs open at a time. Is there any particular reason you want a pixel? Even if you are going to put linux on it you can get a better pc laptop for less.

I would rather get Dell Inspiron 11. Specced with Core i3 (Haswell) and 4GB RAM (upgradable) and also a 11" touch display. HDD is standard 500GB 5400RPM but you can replace it with an SSD.

It's a pretty nice budget yet lightweight ultrabook and you're not hampered when it comes to storage either. It'd only set you back $500 if you get it from the Dell Outlet.
