i use to work for Sony and they do run out, often a little earlier than the retailers reason being they dont keep massive amounts of stock for themselves as they get new stuff in a bit more frequent than the retailersFair enough, I guess what I was getting at was if anyone shouldn't sell out of Sony products, you'd think it would be Sony. :D

Does anyone know which barcodes I'm supposed to use to register a product? I bought a PS3 a couple of months back and still have the receipt and boxing.
they normally ask for the serial number on the back of PS3, i remember i had to pull mine out of the entertainment unit to get it to register so shouldnt have anything to do with the packaging or receipt just need the unit it self

Thanks for the help. Ok I found the serial # on the back under a barcode. But the sony website keeps telling me it's an invalid entry. Same with the product code.
Guess it's irrelevant now since the price changed, but still would be nice if I could get it to work.

I managed to get an order in last night at the cheap price … but it is on back order …. it shows up in my orders with expected dispatch date 14th December.

I found this kind of interesting. That is the exact price my store pays per PlayTV (125.83). For those interested, that DOES mean that if you speak to the right people you can pick one up in store for this price.
