Hello, I'm looking for a cheap Casual Laptop which I can use to play steam games such as CS:GO/TF2 etc. Doesn't have to be only for gaming, can be used for other stuff as well, such as internet browsing, videos and documents. Pricing around $500. If anyone has any good deals, please feel free to post below.
Cheap Laptop for Gaming/Browsing

Yeah, I saw that one. However in one of the comments, I don't think it could run BF3 without a decent CPU. I'm after a casual computer which can play games decently, not too much lag etc.
Right now I have a Samsung Ultrabook which works alright for gaming and other stuff aswell, but I need another for my brother.
BF3 requires both a powerful CPU and a fast-middle end GPU. That acer with IntelĀ® HD Graphics won't cut it.
To play BF with an acceptable framerate of more than 40FPS @ 1366 x 768 resolution (the most common type of res. on a budget laptop) you'll be looking at a Nvidia Geforce 840M.
That graphics chip is what's going to determine if the laptop can be used for gaming or not, period. So you're looking at a minimum spend of perhaps $700~800 dollars. Although $700 is a bit of a stretch if you don't take advantage of say, eBay 20% off voucher codes or some other deals.
How about playing CS:GO on that laptop? Would it work alright, or is it better to get something higher end. I wouldn't mind spending around $700 for a laptop, rather than getting one at a lower cost and not play games to full potential.
On that Acer? Probably not a very good experience, but I think it is doable.
Have you considered dropping $600 dollars instead on a Dell Alienware Alpha? It's $599 delivered Dell and it's got enough chop to run most, if not all, of today's games. This will be your ticket to some decent level of PC gaming at a relatively low cost.
Forget about laptops man, reserve them for work / internet usage, not gaming :)

That Dell Alienware looks alright, got any more details on it?It was posted as a bargain before

It is a competent gaming machine, given it's price. Though it is a desktop computer, it does not offer the flexibility of a self-built machine — you can't for example, upgrade the graphics, and it only has room for one HDD inside it. But it's a entry level device so can't really complain…
The RAM is upgradable, and the HDD can be swapped or upgraded to a faster / larger one.
Gaming and Browsing are two very different categorical requirements for a laptop my friend.
People posted about the laptop here and they upgraded the ram and ssd to make it a quick and nifty machine. I don't know about gaming but it can handle videos and internet.

The price they said with upgrade is around $450+?
I don't own one so I can only suspect.
