I'm thinking of taking a family holiday in Bali in January next year.
Currently, I can get 4 x return PER-DPS for about $1200 ($300 x 4) on Jetstar (no bags).
Now seeing that I paid almost exactly $300 for a flight to Bali in 1987 (yes 1987, not a typo), I should probably just be happy with that and grab the flights.
But being OzB-attuned, I wondered if I should expect better deals to emerge over the next few months, or conversely, if I should expect prices to increase. Or, to cover all the possibilities, maybe I should expect them to remain roughly the same?
If anyone can point me to historical price charts, or even if you just remember what happened last year, I'd appreciate it.
I'd be very surprised if AirAsia or Jetstar doesn't have a sale that would knock at least $50 off, if not $100 off per fare by then.
I'm not sure if you have dates in mind but for instance if you can return Feb 1st you could already get a return ticket for $220 with AirAsia(lots of outgoing flights for $130 in Jan and most return flight $90 in Feb)
I'd sign up to both newsletters and keep an eye on it.
